Suzuki Vitara : Series 227th July 2018
Updated “Series II” Vitara SUV will be brought confirmed by the Suzuki Australia. Although the refreshed model not having been revealed yet. General Manager of Suzuki’s local division Michael Pachoto said the new model is on its way and should arrive in Australian showrooms during the first quarter of 2019.
Further he confirms that Series II Vitara is in the plan for 2019. Further, enhancements to safety and tech, coupled with attractive updates to its interior and exterior design.
He further said going by recent reports and spy photos of camouflaged prototypes, expect the upgraded Vitara line-up to offer driver assistant technologies like autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control – stuff becoming increasingly standard across competing models.
Pachoto added that Vitara Series II will add some new convenience items to mix. As well, though not quite sure what exactly they’ll be. The powertrain line-up will carryover with the exception of the 88kW/320Nm. 1.6 liter turbo-diesel that powers the tops-spec RT-X. Pachota noted that the diesel will be dropped from the line-up when the updated range arrives.
Presently, the petrol-powered Vitara range conists of 86kW/160Nm. 1.6 liter naturally aspirated for powering the base RT-S, and a 103kW/220NM 1.4 liter turbocharged four powering S Turbo models. Design-wise the updated crossover will get revisions to the front and rear bumpers, along with updates to the lighting units at both ends.
