Mazda Moves to Five-Year Warranty
8th August 2018Extending its three-year warranty to a five-year, Mazda has joined the likes of Holden and Ford unlimited-kilometer. This extended period applies to all vehicles sold from August 1. This brings the company into line with other competitive companies. Kia is still led the industry. Including commercial BT-50 owners the Mazda warranty is transferrable and applies to all customers. Therefore Mazda Moves to Five-Year Warranty to make it a competitive advantage for themselves.
Managing director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi said that “the new warranty will give customers another reason to choose Mazda, bolstering confidence in our already solid reputation for quality, hard-wearing cars”
There are very few companies left with three years of coverage except Mazda moving to five years of coverage. Companies such as Toyota, Volkswagen and Subaru have stuck with their shorter coverage terms, in spite of the wider industry move to at least five years.
Volkswagen managing director hasn’t express any desire to extend its coverage telling a longer term isn‘t on the agenda.
