Hyundai i30 Fastback N
30th July 2018Next year, Hyundai i30 Fastback N will be offered confirmed by Hyundai Australia. Shortly company’s global division issued some teaser images of its newest N model in action. It scheduled to be unveiled later this year.
The Hyundai i30 Fastback N is based on the i30 Fastback in Europe. Combining the five-door body with the performance focused underpinning of the i30 N hatchback.
We can see the i30 Fastback N in a new set of images tackling the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany, where Hyundai’s N division also has a technical centre.
The i30 Fastback N will be powered by the same 2.0 liter turbocharged four as its hatchback sibling, though it’s unclear whether it will be offered one or two states of tune. The high-output 202kW/353Nm ‘performance’ tune should definitely be offered. Complete with a mechanical limited-slip differential and a six speed manual transmission.
The only option at launch will be manual shifter. Hyundai has already confirmed an eight-speed DCT is in development and scheduled for release in the i30 N hatch lane in 2019. We would wager the Fastback N will offer it eventually, too.
